How it works
Unanswered watches administrator-selected support channels and creates a live case when an eligible member needs a response. A configured first-alert delay triggers a staff notification, followed by repeat reminders if the case remains unresolved. Staff can claim, ignore or mark a case answered. Replies resolve the relevant case, not every unanswered question in the channel.
Set up in the dashboard
- Invite Bozos Unanswered and use
/setupto open the website Setup Studio. - Select the channels to monitor, choose where alerts should go, and assign the staff Alert Roles.
- Configure the first alert and repeat reminder. First alerts can be as low as 2 minutes; repeat reminders start at 10 minutes.
- Save and test in a channel where the bot can see messages and post its alerts.
Use View Channel and Read Message History in monitored channels, and the necessary send/message permissions in alert destinations. The dashboard flags missing channel permissions.
Live queue and commands
/queue shows active waiting and claimed cases. /help shows bot help; /setup opens the dashboard; /premium status shows your plan and usage. The message context action Mark as Answered closes a specific case. A claimed case can return to the waiting queue after 60 minutes if still unresolved.
Free versus Premium
1 monitored channel, 1 Alert Role and 100 newly created cases per UTC month. Includes the queue, claims, resolution and server-wide alert timing.
Unlimited monitored channels, Alert Roles and cases, plus per-channel timings, two-stage escalation and optional timezone-aware business-hours SLA pausing.
Multiple messages within the same active case count once. Reaching the Free cap blocks new cases until the UTC month resets or Premium activates; already open cases continue. If Premium ends, excess saved configuration is kept but only Free allowances apply. Removing and reinstalling the bot does not reset saved settings or the monthly cap.
What information is kept?
Only selected monitored channels are watched. While a case is open, the bot stores the identifiers and short preview needed for the waiting queue, alerts and resolution; completed cases are removed rather than being kept in a permanent support history. See Privacy Policy.
