🔊 Bozos TTS

Voice-channel chat that sounds more human

Bozos TTS is a focused Discord voice bot that reads a voice channel's text chat aloud with multilingual voices, regional accents and conversation-aware speech handling.

What Bozos TTS does

Run /join while you are in a voice channel. Bozos TTS joins that channel and reads eligible chat messages aloud. /leave ends the session.

Languages and regional accents

The current voice catalog covers 75 language families across many regional locales. Popular choices include English, Hindi, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati, Urdu, Indonesian, Turkish, Vietnamese and many more.

/language can apply a choice to the whole server or only to your own messages.

Multiple voices

/voice lets users choose from multiple neural voices matching the selected language and regional locale. Voice choice can be server-wide or personal.

Grand Pronunciation Engine

Before speech is generated, Bozos applies a built-in pronunciation layer designed to make chat sound less robotic, with rules for common slang, acronyms, gaming/technology terms, file formats, units and Discord-style usernames.

Natural chat cleanup

The speech pipeline simplifies markdown, converts mentions into readable names, humanizes URLs, handles emoji, and normalizes punctuation, numbers, dates and times.

Smarter speaker names

Bozos avoids repeating the same speaker name on every line. In very small calls it can omit speaker names; in larger calls it announces a new speaker and suppresses unnecessary repetition for consecutive messages.

Playback controls

  • /volume changes TTS playback from 0% to 200%.
  • /skip skips the current TTS message.
  • Queued messages can be prepared ahead to reduce gaps.
  • Voice sessions are cleaned up automatically when appropriate.

Localized join/leave announcements

/announce lets a member with Manage Server permission enable or disable voice-channel join/leave announcements. They are off by default and localized for many supported languages.
