🛡️ Moderation & Audit

Manual control, automatic protection and clear audit trails

Bozos Forever combines staff moderation commands with a focused AutoMod layer and Bozos Audit, a broader server-event logging system.

Manual moderation

Current moderation commands include kick, ban, unban, mute/timeout, unmute, warn, warning lookup, warning clearing, purge and moderation-case lookup. Moderation actions can also send a DM to the affected user when that server option is enabled.

Bozos keeps moderation case records so /modlogs and warning commands can show a member's history. A case can contain the action, target/moderator identifiers, reason and duration where relevant.

AutoMod: three focused protections

Invite filtering

Deletes Discord invite links when anti-invite protection is enabled.

Banned words

Deletes messages containing terms configured in the server's banned-word list.

Anti-spam

Detects rapid message bursts and can apply a temporary timeout automatically.

Members with Manage Messages permission are exempt from these AutoMod checks.

Bozos Audit

Bozos Audit is separate from the moderation-case log. It sends event records directly into destinations configured by the server and is divided into five categories:

  • Moderation: bans, kicks, unbans, timeouts, timeout removals, warnings and cleared warnings.
  • Members: joins, leaves, role additions and removals.
  • Messages: deleted/edited messages, removed attachments and bulk purges.
  • Voice: joins, leaves and voice-channel switches.
  • Server: channel create/delete/rename and role create/delete/update.

Permissions and role hierarchy

Bozos Forever is intended to have Administrator permission. Discord's role hierarchy still applies: a bot cannot moderate a member whose highest role is at or above the bot's highest role.
